7:00pm Check-in to Hampton Inn and Suites-Somerset, PA (324 Laurel Crest Rd., Somerset, PA 15501 – 814-445-9161). Baggage handling is included.
Day Two, Thursday, September 21, 2017
6:30am Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning prior to checking out. Baggage handling is included.
10:15am Arrive at the Gettysburg Museum/Visitor’s Center (1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325). View one of the world’s largest collections of artifacts and memorabilia from the American Civil War.
10:30am While at the Museum watch the film, A New Birth of Freedom.
5:30pm Arrive at the Odyssey III Cruise Ship (pending availability) from the Gangplank Marina at the corner of 6th and Water Streets. Tickets should be picked up at the ticket booth located next to the ship. Appropriate dress is business casual attire. No jeans, shorts, tank tops, halter-tops, gym shoes or flip flops are permitted on the Odyssey. Parking is available in the Gangplank Lot off of Water Street.
6:00pm Enjoy a dinner cruise of the Odyssey. Sail along the Potomac and enjoy a dinner prepared for you. (This is a glass boat so you can enjoy all the scenery around you)!
9:00pm Return to the hotel for the evening.

9:00am Visit Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington. (The Group Leader will sign for Mid-Atlantic Receptive Services direct bill at the group arrivals.) Here, he escaped the rigors of public office and enjoyed the life of a successful Virginia planter. America’s most visited historic house, Mount Vernon sits on a grassy, shaded slope overlooking the Potomac River. Many of the furnishings are original pieces acquired by Washington himself. Mount Vernon is both George Washington’s home and final resting-place. This Southern plantation standing on the banks of the Potomac River details the life of the “Father of Our Country” while providing fascinating insights into Colonial times.
